Frequently Asked Questions
Please call 1-866-PETER-02 for additional help.
Q: What Data and Reports will be returned with my Mailing List Scrub? A: You will receive your original, unchanged Mailing List, your cleaned Mailing Data, and a report detailing the changes in these documents. The renewed Mailing List will add the following postal information in new data fields for all your records: Zip Code +4 numbers, the Delivery Point Bar Code Number, and the Carrier Route Code. This information will speed your mail delivery and can significantly reduce your postage costs.
The report details the number of records improved or removed for the List Scrub and why. You may be surprised by the number of duplicate addresses on your list and the amount of vacant households to which you've been mailing. For mailing lists over 5,000 records, we offer six itemized reports, detailing flaws in the data and the changes performed on it.
Q: What things does the List Scrub seek and correct? A: The List Scrub seeks, corrects, and diagrams the following address flaws and improvement in your mailing list. The Record Cleansing are reasons why records are removed; Record Corrections details how records are updated.

Q: How should I format the fields? A: Your spreadsheet must be formatted as follows: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip.
Q: How up-to-date are Peter's Business Intelligence sources? A: Our databases have the most recent address information on millions of residences and businesses from the Post Office's Address Registry. Our information is up-to-date enough that we can guarantee you'll save at least the cost of the List Scrub on your first mailing. Addresses go stale for a number of reasons: people move away, people pass away, people have primary and secondary residences, people get sent to prison. If your mailing list is a month or more old, especially if you mail in large scale, renewing your mailing data will save you money.
Q: How long does Mailing List Scrub take? A: You will receive your renewed address data within 48 -72 hours (not counting weekends).
Q: What is the minimum list size? A: 100 records. Handling fees do apply.
Q: What is the maximum list size? A: There is no maximum list size. The list scrub is extremely economical for large mailing lists.
Q: Do you accept checks/money orders/purchase orders? A: No, we do not accept checks, money orders, or purchase orders; major Credit and Debt Cards are the only valid forms of payment.
Q: Do I get a receipt or invoice? A: Yes, your receipt and invoice are located under the details section of each specific order in the “Orders” tab. You also receive an email notification as well.
Q: How do I sign up for an account? A: On our homepage click on the register button, fill out the form, and you are registered and ready to go.
Q: How Do I Register? A: To register an account, enter in your email address and click on the “Register” button. You will receive a conformation via email containing your username and password. Your Permanent User Name is the email address you entered earlier.
